Happy Beltane! May your day be filled with sensual pleasure.
I had a client ask me at one of my somatic practices if I could write out a document to pass out at my classes with all the information I give during the class. She said she wanted to follow a cyclical way of living but had a hard time remembering all the details. I decided to include the information in this newsletter. I hope it encourages all women to live cyclically, and I hope it helps. Always remember to listen to your body and if you feel this information goes against what your body is telling you then do what your body says. Also, if you are only reading my emails for my juicy self-care offerings, then scroll down to the bottom. Lots of upcoming self-care ahead. Without further ado here is the fourth and final phase of woman’s cycles. If you are new to my community, you can find the old ones on my website (down at the bottom of the page). That way you will have the information to all the phases.
Cycle Phase Information
Luteal Phase
Inner Autumn, waning moon, enchantress (wild woman), contraction ~days 16-28/31. This is the longest of the phases. It is during this phase that PMS symptoms occur. This includes mood swings, fatigue, bloating and food cravings.
Foods to eat during this phase-Roasting and baking foods are good at this time. Complex carbs (brown rice, wild rice, sweet potatoes, legumes, black beans, lentils, chick peas), fiber (veg, chia seeds, legumes), protein (lentils and other legumes, tempeh, grass fed beef bison, collagen), healthy sugars (dates, honey, maple syrup, monk fruit and stevia (in moderation)), grounding root veg ( beets, sweet potatoes, parsnips, radish, onions, turnips, grains (brown rice, millet, buckwheat), protein (beef, turkey, white fish), veggies (sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, onion, celery, watercress, cucumber, pumpkin, radish, squash, cabbage), fruit (dates, apples, peach, pear, raisins), beans, nuts and seeds (chickpeas, navy, white, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, walnuts, pecans), spices (spearmint, mint), leafy greens ( collards, mustard)
Exercise during this phase- First half of this phase-strength training then switch to flexibility, ending with gentle yoga.
Teas-Days 1-14 Nettle Tea. Days 15-30 Dandelion tea
Seed Cycling (I highly recommending researching and adding this to your everyday habits. Whether you are in your cycling days or even going through peri/menopause and beyond.)-Days 1-14 or new moon to full moon (if you no longer bleed)-pumpkin and flax seeds (1 TB each/ day). Day 15-30 or full moon to new moon (if you no longer bleed)-sunflower and sesame seeds (1TB each/day).

Mondays May 5th, May 12th, and May 19th at 6 PM-Cycle Syncing Somatic Practice at Allen Park Public Library. These classes are totally FREE. Please do not let the price, or lack thereof, make you feel these classes are not beneficial. These practices were the backbone of my healing.
The next 2 offerings are tentative dates. Please look for future emails to verify dates/times/locations. I do apologize about this, but I am in a program, and I do not have all my dates for the next 4 months of classes.
Monday May 12, 2025, at 11 AM-Full Moon Ceremony. The location is TBA. This ritual will include all genders.
Tuesday May 27, 2025, at 6 PM-New Moon Ceremony. The location is TBA. This ritual will be sistars only.
